“Go make a diff’rence, we can make
a diff’rence. Go make a diff’rence in the world.”
This Christian contemporary hymn was the inspiration for establishing
the Prayer Shawl Ministry of Faith Lutheran Church, LCMS, Eldersburg.
The ministry consists of women who belong to Faith’s Tuesday
morning Bible study group and other women who are interested in the
Ministry. Since its inception in January of this year, the Prayer
Shawl Ministry has donated approximately 500 handmade items to
shelters in Carroll County, a surgical/oncology unit at Johns Hopkins
Hospital, the Lutheran Mission Society, pregnancy centers, and the
Carroll County Detention Center.
Anyone who can knit or crochet is invited to attend Bible
study each Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. and stay for Prayer Shawl
Ministry on the first and third Tuesday mornings from 11:30 a.m. to
1:30 p.m. You may attend one or both of these functions. Serving our
Lord by serving others is a very satisfying way to say “thank
you’ for the blessings we have received. Come join us and
together we’ll, “Go make a
diff’rence...” Questions may be directed to Marlyn Maufer
