2013 Vacation Bible School

Faith Lutheran Church, LCMS, Eldersburg held its Vacation Bible School July 29-August 2. The theme was "Kingdom Chronicles - Standing Strong in the Battle for Truth," drawn from the Answers in Genesis program. Using content from the Bible, seventy-nine children, ages 3 through 6th grade, learned to differentiate between God's kingdom and Satan's and learned to put on the armor of God in order to defend themselves. There were rotations through Bible story time, crafts, snacks, music, and outdoor games. The children had two mission projects. They collected 182 pounds of non-perishable food items that were delivered to the Carroll County Food Bank as well as $54 in cash donations that will be mailed to the organization. Children also cross-stitched cross bookmarks for the Lutheran Mission Society Christmas bags. In the first photo working on the crosses, left to right are: Emma, Adrienne, Tyler, Cody, Ryan. In the background is their teacher, Cathy Knight.

In the second photo with the collected foodstuffs, pictured left to right, top to bottom, are: Bobby, Ben, Sam, Quinn, Tommy, Jimmy, Morgan, Estela.
