Children
Jesus was clear about his relationship with children when he
told his followers, “Let the little children come to me, and do
not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as
these.” We also realize that God created children with
all their wiggles and giggles. We try to keep both of these in
mind as we plan and provide opportunities for learning and fun.
Children & Worship
We invite and encourage both you and your children to worship
God with us on Sunday mornings. Sunday morning worship services
usually include either a puppet play by our “Faithful
Friends” puppeteers or a brief children’s message
designed specifically for the young ones in our midst.
We realize bringing younger children to worship can be a
daunting task, so we have compiled a few tips on worshipping
with children which we hope will be helpful to you.
Faith
offers year-round Sunday school classes for ages 2 and up. Our experienced and dedicated
teachers are committed to helping children learn about God in fun and
rewarding ways. Young
children experience hands-on learning through Bible stories and
crafts. As children grow,
they are encouraged to explore their faith and their relationship
with God via various Bible discovery activities.
Children who are not yet of Sunday school age become part of our “cradle roll”. Parents of these children are provided Christian materials and ideas to help them teach even the youngest children how very much Jesus cares for them.
Special Programs
In June of each year, children from our community enjoy Faith’s free Vacation Bible School. Games, Bible stories, songs, snacks and new friends make for a week of fun, learning and good memories. This popular event is open to children ages 3 through 6th grade.
In December, the children at Faith enjoy presenting a special, musical Christmas pageant to share the story of Jesus’ birth.
Youth Choir
Young singers in grade 3 and above are invited to participate in Faith’s Youth Choir. Participants learn basic music theory as they have fun preparing special songs for Sunday morning worship services.
